my tattoo faded, why?

There are a number of ways a tattoo can fade. These include sun tanning, bad tattooing, bad tattoo ink, body rejections of pigment, damage done due to beech, sauna even hot showers, allergic reactions and more.

Allergic reactions

Tattoo ink can contain minerals and metals or organic matter that some people may be allergic to. This is upto the customer to determine if they are allergic to an ingredient. To be on the safe side the tattooist should supply a medical safety data sheet to the customer when making an appointment for a tattoo, you should advise them to see a doctor about any allergies prior to getting a tattoo.

Damage caused by mistreatment

The customer should be advised that they not go to the beech, stay out of the sun, do not go to sauna or hot shower they should be luke warm for 1st 5 days or so, it's best to avoid getting the tattoo wet  for too long. Short quick showers no baths or swimming etc, do not pick or scratch, avoid perfuse sweating  while covered in heavy material, it's advised to wear light breathable clothing.

Bad tattooing
When a tattoo is not performed properly it may scab really inconsistantly thick and thin scabs, redness still after 2-3 days, swelling, bleeding and puss can also be an infection. Once the tattoo heals you should see dark and light areas or areas that looked chunked, scarred, or scrathed up. This is were the term scratcher came from.

A scratcher is not a backyarder a scratcher knows not what he is doing a backyarders can have autoclaves, ultrasonics, etc. We prefer the terms scratchers & undergound.

Tattoo and piercings in 1... Thats an idea

Heres an idea i have of a tattoo that contains piercings also. The tattoo consists of twisted, contorted skulls and faces as a sleeve on the fore arm or even up the whole arm. Then using microdermal impants and barbells etc give some of the faces piercings, the lips, the eyebrows the face. Give the tattoo a real 3D attitude.

We would love to see the result if anyone has something similar or decides to get this tattoo idea.

Cheap plain boxed tattoo needles or cheap chinese... NO WAY!!!

DON'T BUY CHEAP TATTOO NEEDLES

Cheap tattoo needles are a definate do not. There are many chinese company manufacturing cheap, poor quality tattoo needles. These tattoo needles can contain lead soldier, steel not 316L stainless, or even crude mixes of cheap nasty metals. Not to mention they aren't prepared in sanitary conditions with quality control, often they are made in factories by hand with no proper manufaturing equipment. There are stories of some tattoo needles being tested and containing toxic materials and deadly amounts of lead as well as other bacterias. Some of these have not been properly steralised.

Do tattoos hurt

Do tattoos hurt?

You hear all sorts of statements. They burn, they sting, they hurt, or the tough nah they don't hurt to easy it was a breeze. That can be confusing. I myself have tattoos and to be honest they kinda hurt but i was able to block it out.

I guess it depends on each individuals pain tolerance and were the tattoo will be. Example when i got my leg and arm done it was not to bad, when i got my back tattooed it hurt. The outline felt sharp, i just wanted it over. Some people enjoy the pain it's like a massage or therapy as some say. Personally i believe it's got to do with body weight also. A skinny person is likely to feel more pain than the larger person. Also depends on what sort of tattoo your getting and how big it is. To start with the needles feel sharp and sometimes with the fine outlining it may feel like a razor blade. This feeling does not stay intense after some time your body ajusts slighly to the pain. once the outline is over and the colour starts it begins to go slighlty numb, the colour hurts much less because it goes in shallower. Depending on the size colour is a breeze but after a few hours the skin becomes raw feeling like a burn and you feel every wipe. The spray feels wicked but the wipe, aaarrrghhh it can sting.

Anyone that says tattoo's don't hurt at all lie. They hurt but it is bearable pain.

Tattoo ink which brand do i choose

There's a number of different tattoo inks on the claiming to be the best, the thickest, the smoothest, vegan safe, organic and non organic containing metals.
Some popular brands include starbrite, intenzemoms/millenium, kuro sumiradiant, immortaleternal. A good tattoo artist will mix and match thiere tattoo inks. Some brands have better colours than others.

To find out what metals may be present ask your supplier for a msds (medical safety data sheet)

Applying a stencil

Applying a tattoo stencil can be frustrating, without a thermal printer not applying enough pressure can cause a stencil to not transfer properly & buying what you think is the best product for the job only to recieve a fraudulent product that keep washing away. Whatever the problem we will get to the bottom of it.
